No Sew Flowers

So you ever had scrap fabric of scrap felt and wanted to use it? Always! I looked around and found several tutorials for these cute flowers and tweaked those in order to make these. I also hate to sew so it is always a plus to find those no sew, not so complicated crafts. This is one of them!
Depending on what you have on hand, you can use felt or fabric! For the felt tutorial you will need to read through this one but continue reading all the way to the bottom! Good Luck

Here is what you need -

  • 8 fabric circles - my fabric circles about 3 inches in diameter but it is completely up to how big or small you want it.
  • 2 felt circle - it doesn't have to be the same color either, just one that compliments it. The first felt circle should be around 2 inches in diameter, the second one, slightly smaller.

This shows use how big the first felt circle should be

  •  a hair clip

  • a fabric covered button - in a complimenting color

Make sure you use a button with prongs

Instructions -

1. Fold the largest felt circle in half and cut a small slit into the felt, unfold and fold again the opposite way and cut like you just did. Unfold and you should have an X.
2. Fold one fabric circle in half, them in half again

3. Put a small dab of hot  glue to the side of the center crease, and fold again to secure

4. Put hot glue in one of the felt sections, and press the fabric piece onto it

5. Repeat step 2-4 until the bottom of the felt is covered

6. Repeat steps 2-3 but, place a small amount of glue close to the center of the flower and lay the piece down in between the circle under it.
7. Repeat with the remaining 3 fabric circles until it covering the "petals" underneath

 8. You should be able to push the button through the center (if not try poking a hole) and out the other end. separate the prongs and push them to the side

9. Hot glue the smaller felt piece over the larger on to conceal the prongs, and then hot glue the hair cip onto that

All finished and ready to add a fashionable flower to my wardrobe!

Felt Flowers

Now, if you don't want to use the fabric, felt flowers are just as cute!!!

For this you need -
  • 9 felt circles - 2 1/2 inches in diameter
  • hair clip
Instructions -
  1. Fold, and hot glue the felt circles onto the base circle the same way shown above but this time do not cut the base flower because we don't need to stick a button through this one
  2. Once you finish gluing puff up the petal and your all done!!

I can defiantly see more of these in my future!

Thanks for reading i hope this helped!!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was looking around for a easy chocolate chip cookie recipe and found this. These cookies were so quick, simple, and yummy.
I love recipes like this, basically you combine until it looks like dough, put on a sheet, and bake! Doesn't get much easier!
The best part for me was that i already had all the ingredients at home, and most people will.
So here it is this recipe for the delicious cookies!!

Ingredients -
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • around half a package of chocolate chips - semi-sweet or milk.
The chocolate chip part I kinda of guessed on. The original recipe said 1 package, well i didn't have one whole package so i used half and they ended up just as good

Instructions -
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Beat together the sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and butter - okay so on the butter i never put in the whole stick, and you probably don't either but, I find it easier when you chop up the butter to quarter size pieces
  3. Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt until blended
  4. Fold in chocolate chips
  5. Using your tablespoon drop onto a greased cookie sheet
  6. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes of until golden brown. They will be flimsy so allow to firm by letting cool for a while

Click here to go to the blog were i found the recipe!

Extra tip. Maybe it was just me but these babies flatten out! they will run together and when they do so just let them cook and separate with a knife or spatula before you let them cool!

As always I gotta have the milk for these golden extraordinary delight!

Wow! Simple, good, quick, cant ask for much more but maybe healthy but, ya that just wouldn't be fair!
Thanks for reading and i hope you decide to try and enjoy these chocolate chip cookies!!
